Covering some great salon viable techniques, with hands on learning and in depth  demonstrations,  this class will take you on a journey and show you just how far you can take the art of nail design. 

Renowned for her innovative and unique nail designs and applications, Sam Biddle will work with you on the day giving you an opportunity to have a hand on experience. Sam will demonstrate different nail shapes and show you a range of spectacular new designs created for 2012. This is a workshop which provides a wealth of knowledge and new techniques to create something inspirational.

Some of the things you will cover will include acrylic Marbling, Embedding, Incorporating hand painting in your design, using the nail art pen and pure pigments, 3D embellishments and BUILDING YOUR DEISGN. There will also be some fantasy applications.

Learn the simple steps to developing your design and ways of attracting your customers, Sam will show you how to SELL your designs giving you some great marketing tips to improve revenue in your salon. All this and much learning tool which should not have confused with the application procedures of a particular brand.  You will learn to be versatile and have an open mind to further opportunities within this fantastic industry.

 GEL

• Gel; clear, white, nail bed cover (hard gel not soak off or gel polish)
• Gel colour collections ( see below for suggestions)
• Shallow Dappen dish

 ACRYLIC

• Acrylic; clear, white (competition or fast set) cover pink
• Acrylic colours; selection
• Dappen dish
• Monomer

 BRUSHES

• Gel brush
• Gel detail brush (size 00)
• Acrylic brush
• Small design brush acrylic
• Nail art brush x3 size 0, 00,000

 OTHER ESSENTUALS

• Acetone &  dish to hold it
• Table towel
• Tips
• Glue Tac
• Dotting tool or tooth pick
• Surround wrap (small amount, whole roll is not necessary)
• Shell wrap (available to purchase on the day)
• Nail art Pen (available to purchase on the day)
• Nail art paints; (available to purchase on the day)
• Pigments (available to purchase on the day)
• Small amount of jewellery wire
• Nail glue
• Arabella forms (available on the day)
• TOOLS for creating grooves (needle pen or sharpe thin edged blade)

 I will be bringing some supplies, so don’t worry if you don’t have everything on the list. The essentials are your gels and acrylics.

 Colours are subjective as you will be creating your own looks.  I would suggest you pack the following; BLACK, PINK, RED, BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN, PURPLE.  If you pack 2 different shades of each and 1 with a shimmer or glitter, you should cover all bases.  Remember we can mix colours with white or each other to create a different colour and we have the pigments to really enhance your collection.
