 Christmas Gift

As Christmas is fast  approaching, we all get asked for something quick and easy to pop onto the nails.  With our diary full we don't necessarily have time to spend creating some elaborate nail art, or detailed designs in acrylic.  So this is a 2 fold Christmas step by step which you can use in the salon and give your loyal clients a little Christmas Gift.  The first technique is the base, which is a beautiful application and very simple to apply. You don’t have to add anything on top of it, as it looks amazing for the party season. But if you want to add a little extra something festive, then try this hand painted bow.  Bows are very up to the minute, and just the thing to give your salon that something a bit different to offer your customers.  I have created this design using Gel,  but for all you Acrylic technicians don't let that stop you, It works for both.

 Sun Flower

This design uses a couple of very simple but extremely effective techniques. The use of the shell wrap as a base lifts the design and creates depth behind the flowers, instead of using a flat base colour or blend. There are a lot of flowers made with acrylic, but I wanted to show you how to bring gel flowers to life.

 Captured Leaf

Using skeleton leaf to create texture and embossed detailing with 3D gel to add definition, this is a beautifully delicate gel   design nail idea. This is the second step by step I have done using these skeleton leaves, I think they make such a beautiful effect on the nail.  Giving you texture within your design especially when using gel, this effect can really add dimension and interest to your nail art.  I am also using colour drops so you don’t have to find the colour skeleton leaves, just buy a large pack of white bleached ones from the local craft store and colour them yourself.
