Polish with Pigments

Pigments can be used with your Gel polish, Top coats, Gels and Acrylics. Mixing up with water or even monomer means that with this collection you have all the colours of the rainbow for every application.

With these steps you will create a fresh look using Gel polish in just a few minutes. The design can be created with any colour combination, with our Pure Pigments offering a rainbow of choice.

Christmas Gift

As Christmas is fast approaching, we all get asked for something quick and easy to pop onto the nails. With our diary full we don't necessarily have the time to create elaborate nail art, or detailed designs in Acrylic.  So this is a two-fold Christmas step by step which you can use in the salon to give your loyal clients a little Christmas Gift.

The first technique is the base, which is a beautiful application and very simple to apply. You don’t have to add anything on top of it, as it looks amazing for the party season.

But if you want to add a little extra something festive, then try this hand painted bow.  I have created this design using Gel, but for all you Acrylic technicians don't let that stop you, it works for both.

Captured Leaf

Using skeleton leaf to create texture and embossed detailing with 3D gel to add definition, this is a beautifully delicate gel design nail idea. This is the second step by step I have done using these skeleton leaves, I think they make such a beautiful effect on the nail.

Giving texture within your design, especially when using Gel, this effect can really add dimension and interest to your nail art.

I am also using colour drops so you don’t have to find the colour skeleton leaves; just buy a large pack of white bleached ones from the local craft store and colour them yourself.

Tropical Flowers in Gel

This is a surprisingly simple design which can be done on any shape nail, any length, as an alternative French or all over.

You don't have to apply so many flowers and you could pre make them using the Arabella Fantasy forms.

This steps shows you how to create an effective colour blend in Gel, and an alternative way to create some superb flowers.

French with a Twist

This is a very simple and effective design nail which adds that little something different for a wedding nail or  a summer look.

We have used white, but try out different colours, even including two or three on the free edge.

Galaxy

This design is a fast and effective way to create beautiful, delicate designs using Gels. In just minutes you can have embossed swirls and geometric patterns that look hand painted.

Featuring EzFlow's Soak off range 'Alternatives' this design can also be recreated using gel or acrylic. Galaxy is just one of the designs in Sam’s ‘Pure Gel’ DVD

Harlequin

These nails combine various different techniques; you can use either Gel or Acrylic to create these amazing show stopper designs. Also incorporating extended nail beds and how to utilise the Arabella Fantasy Forms to create these designs nails, all in a 4 page PDF document.

As we work through the steps I will mention alternative ways of creating this design. I use NFU.oh products, however you can use any leftover glitters and gems or incorporate your coloured glitter acrylic powders into the design.

Something Blue

Create nails which are perfect for someone's special day.

Light and ethereal on the tips, these Gel design nails still tick all the boxes for those brides who want the traditional French manicured look. With a slight twist this design and technique works in any colour.

English Rose

Create flowers with a simple flick of your brush... deceptively easy, these Gel roses are a great design nail for weddings, or an alternative to a French manicured look.

Using coloured Gel doesn't have to difficult or time consuming. This is a three page step-by-step which also features the Arabella Fantasy Forms which can save time and help you practise your craft.

Here I show you how to pre-prepare the roses for easy application as well as how to apply directly onto the free edge.

Dangerous Liaisons

These nails covered Scratch Magazine in October 2009.

Using this very effective design will only take you minutes on either square, stilletto or lip stick, your imagination is your only limatation. Use a combination of 2 or 3 colours for a varied design.

Inspire your customers and increase your profit!

Deception

This is a Gel design nail which your clients will love, taking them back to the 70's this slightly retro look always creates a smile.

I am a great believer in offering design to show off the fluidity of Gel rather than making it look like Acrylic. Give them a new and improved look by using the technique in different colour combinations.
